CHENNAI: Chief minister M Ok Stalin on Tuesday launched the seaside lifeguard coaching for the fishermen youth. He inaugurated the coaching session of 25 kids from the group at Kovalam fishing village in Chengalpattu district by means of video-conferencing.
As many as 1,000 youth from 14 coastal districts of Tamil Nadu will endure this coaching during which they might be educated to attend emergencies within the seashore.
The initiative has been taken up by the state ministry of fisheries and fishermen welfare with funding from the Nationwide Fisheries Growth Board. ITUS Sports activities and Security Pvt Ltd has been roped in to offer the coaching at a price of 53 lakh.
