Sensex, Nifty tanked following weak developments in Asian markets | Enterprise

Benchmark BSE sensex, after staying in constructive territory for final 2 classes, fell over 700 factors following weak developments in Asian markets. The 30-share BSE index fell 710 factors or 1.35 per cent to shut at 51,823, whereas the broader NSE Nifty settled 225 factors or 1.44 per cent decrease at 15,413. In the meantime, rupee additionally declined by 27 paise to a document low of 78.40 (provisional) towards the US greenback.
