AHMEDABAD: A BJP employee was allegedly bludgeoned to demise by a infamous prison over a private dispute in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad metropolis, police stated on Thursday.
The police have detained the accused, Montu Namdar alias Montu Gandhi, for the assault that passed off in Khadia space of town on Wednesday night, an official stated.
The accused had a long-standing dispute together with his brother-in-law, who was the sufferer’s shut good friend, it was said.
Deputy commissioner of police (Zone 3) Sushil Agrawal clarified that although the sufferer, Rakesh Mehta, was a neighborhood BJP employee, the homicide was not a results of any political rivalry.
As per the FIR, Namdar and his males had allegedly bludgeoned Mehta to demise with sticks and baseball bats, when the latter was passing by Hajira Ni Pol locality in Khadia, the official stated.
“Namdar is a identified prison of the realm and was earlier nabbed for working a playing den. He has been at loggerheads together with his uncle’s household for the reason that early 90s after he married his cousin regardless of sturdy opposition from the household and group. Namdar held a grudge in opposition to his spouse’s brother Pavan,” the DCP stated.
Because the deceased was a detailed good friend and supporter of Pavan, Namdar had developed a grudge in opposition to Mehta, as a result of which he killed him, he added.
